CEB29 April 2015: In its 2014 annual overview report, the UN System Chief Executives Board for Coordination (CEB) concludes that the Board has contributed to efforts by the UN system to enhance coordination and coherence on various programmatic, management and operational issues in support of intergovernmental mandates and priorities. UNECE2 June 2015: The UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), in collaboration with the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) Partnership (UNEP DTU Partnership) and the Copenhagen Centre on Energy Efficiency serving as the Energy Efficiency Hub of the Sustainable Energy for All (SE4All) Initiative, has released a report, titled 'Best Policy Practices for Promoting Energy Efficiency,' outlining best policy options for promoting energy efficiency in the UNECE region and beyond.

SE4ALL Accelerators Plan Joint Action for High-Efficiency Products [viewed]

enlighten15 May 2015: The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF) hosted the first joint Project Steering Committee meeting of the en.lighten and United for Efficiency (U4E) initiatives, developing strategic guidance for coordinated action by the two initiatives. U4E and en.lighten are the Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) initiative's Accelerators on appliances and lighting, respectively, and are working together to assist countries in leapfrogging to high-efficiency products.

Campaign to Align Corporate Emission Reduction Targets with 2°C Goal [viewed]

science_based_targets20 May 2015: The Science Based Targets initiative has launched a global campaign to recruit 100 companies by the end of 2015 to set emission reduction targets in line with climate science. While 80% of the world's 500 largest companies are setting such targets, only the most proactive companies are doing so at the level required to meet the internationally agreed goal of limiting global temperature rise to 2°C above pre-industrial levels by 2100.
