Event: Fifth Meeting of the UNECE Taskforce on Water and Climate [viewed]

This meeting will bring together participants from governmental authorities, the private sector, NGOs and international organization to review progress on the activities under the Task Force, as well as future activities on water and climate under the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Water Convention beyond 2012. It will be organized back-to-back with third workshop on adaptation to climate change in transboundary basins, which will be held on 25-26 April 2012 in Geneva.

European Forest Database Provides Information on Carbon Balances, Biodiversity, and Wood Energy [viewed]

UNECE20 December 2011: FOREST EUROPE and the Forestry and Timber Section of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and the UN Food and Agriculture Organization  (FAO) have launched a web-based resource tool based on their joint State of Europe's Forests 2011 report that also contains new unpublished data on forests, forest management and forest industry in the pan-European region.

OSCE, UNEP and UNECE Support Transboundary Water Cooperation on Dniester River [viewed]
