UNESCAP, UNITAR to Collaborate on Satellite Imagery for Disaster Risk Management [viewed]

18 February 2013: The UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the UN Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), through its Operational Satellite Applications Programme (UNOSAT), will cooperate to provide more comprehensive satellite imagery to Asia-Pacific countries to improve disaster risk management.

ClimDev-Africa Becomes Operational Further to ACP's Grant [viewed]

UNECE Releases Second Environmental Performance Review of Tajikistan [viewed]

UNECE14 December 2012: The "Second Environmental Performance Review (EPR) of Tajikistan" conducted by the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) highlights that waste management and clean water and sanitation remain challenges for this country. ACPC Report Calls on Developed Countries to Provide Climate Finance Roadmap [viewed]

Event: European Forest Week 2013 [viewed]

This week will be celebrated under the theme 'The role of forests and forest products in a Green Economy' and will focus on the contribution of forests to the green economy. The main celebrations will be centred on Metsä 2013, the joint session of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) Committee on Forests and the Forest Industry and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) European Forestry Commission.
