January 2010: The UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) has released a study titled “Transboundary flood risk management: experiences from the UNECE region,” which presents preliminary recommendations and case studies prepared by the Task Force on Water and Climate, under the UNECE Water Convention.

January 2010: The UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) has released a brochure titled "Clearing the Air: 30th Anniversary of the Convention on Long-range Transboundary Air Pollution," which reviews the Convention's three decades of achievements in protecting human health, agriculture, freshwater, and historic and cultural monuments.
This meeting, hosted by ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability with numerous UN partners, will provide a global forum on urban resiliency and adaptation immediately preceding the UN climate talks in Bonn. Partners will share knowledge on: urban risk assessment; socio-economic and institutional dimensions; strategy, policy integration and mainstreaming; urban adaptation planning and practice; costs and financing of urban adaptation; and technologies for adaptation.
January 2010: The five UN Regional Commissions have released a report on the support they provide, by region and thematic area, to combating climate change, titled "The United Nations Regional Commissions and the Climate Change Challenges."
4 January 2010: The "Weekly" newsletter of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) for the period 4-8 January 2010 highlights UNECE's recent activities on water-related energy issues in Central Asia.
The workshop is organized by the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and its Real Estate Market Advisory Group, together with the German Federal Environment Agency, to review existing obstacles and ascertain economic and social benefits associated with a green real estate sector.
