		<description><![CDATA[Jointly organized by the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and the National Chamber of Tourism of Honduras, with support from the Central American Commission on Environment and Development (CCAD), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Adaptation Fund, the US Agency for International Development (USAID), Honduras' Environment and Natural Resources Secretariat (SERNA) and several national and regional tourism bodies, this Forum aims to focus on the impact of climate change on Central America's tourism sector, strengthen the sector's ability to address climate change threats and challenges, examine adaptation opportunities and techniques, and discuss steps to implement the 2007 Davos Declaration on Climate Change and Tourism Responding to Global Challenges. The Forum will feature roundtables on: sustainable tourism opportunities; climate impacts and adaptation in coastal tourist destinations; climate impacts and adaptation in cultural and natural tourism destinations; climate change and mitigation measures in the tourism sector; and policies for climate change and tourism. The Global Environment Facility (GEF) provides secretariat services to the Adaptation Fund Board (AFB) and the World Bank serves as trustee of the Adaptation Fund, both on an interim basis. ]]></description>
