UNISDR Announces Five DRR Parliamentarian Champions [viewed]

3 July 2012: The UN International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR) has announced that five parliamentarians, from Bangladesh, Uganda, Cambodia, Senegal and the East African Legislative Assembly, have been named as parliamentary champions for their ongoing commitment to promoting legislation for disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change adaptation.

Event: Fifth Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction [viewed]

The Fifth Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (AMCDRR) will be jointly hosted by the Indonesian National Agency for Disaster Management (BNPB) and the UN International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR), with support from regional and international development partners. UNISDR Reports on DRR and Adaptation Writeshops [viewed]

19 April 2012: The UN International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR) has reported on the four writeshops, which were co-convened with the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) and conducted since 2010 in Thailand, Ghana, Costa Rica and Barbados. UNISDR underlines that they have helped increase the body of published literature on disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change adaptation.
