Event: V Latin American Carbon Forum [viewed]
The Latin American Carbon Forum is a regional platform established to promote knowledge and information sharing on the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) while facilitating business-opportunity environments among main carbon market stakeholders. This Forum is organized by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) Risøe Centre, the World Bank, the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE), the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and International Emissions Trading Association (IETA).
7 May 2010: The Roundtable on Sustainable Biofuels (RSB) has released its complete set of biofuels sustainability standards. The numerous standards compiled in this database range from a technical draft for EU market access to standards approved for pilot testing on: chains of custody; certification and accreditation bodies; and application of rules to specific conditions.
Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly took place from 27 March-1 April 2010, in Bangkok, Thailand, focusing on the theme of political reconciliation and governance. 
19 March 2010: A Special high-level meeting of UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) with the Bretton Woods institutions, the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), took place on 18-19 March 2010, in New York, US, under the theme “Building on Monterrey and Doha: towards achieving the internationally agreed development goals, including the Millennium Development Goals.” During the meeting, participants highlighted climate change as a pressing challenge for international financial institutions. 
March 2010: The UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) has published its Trade and Environment Review 2009/2010, which contains some 20 essays on the topic "Promoting Poles of Clean Growth to Foster the Transition to a More Sustainable Economy."
