Event: World Habitat Day 2011: Cities and Climate Change [viewed]

World Habitat Day focuses on the state of cities and the basic right to adequate shelter. This year's theme emphasizes that climate change is a preeminent development challenge of the 21st century and that cities will bear the greatest impacts of disasters resulting from climate impact. The theme for the day also recognizes that cities have a great influence on climate change. The Global Celebration of the day will be organized by the Government of Mexico.
