UNEP Launches Online Sustainable Banking Tool at Global Roundtable [viewed]

FAO, IDB Support Analysis on Climate Change and Agriculture in Jamaica [viewed]

Event: Rights, Governance and Climate Change Workshop [viewed]

The workshop on Rights, Governance and Climate Change will take place on the sidelines of the 19th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 19) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). It will examine the use of substantive and procedural rights to design, implement and support effective, equitable solutions to address climate change and related governance challenges. The workshop is expected to result in proposals for research and collaborative projects on the relationship between rights, governance and climate change. The UN Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and Yale University's Governance, Environment and Markets Initiative (GEM) are organizing the workshop in collaboration with the University of Warsaw's Faculty of Law and Administration and the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law (CISDL).

Event: Nutrition and Sustainability: A practical approach to integrating climate change, biodiversity and ecosystems, nutrition and health agendas [viewed]

Bioversity International is co-organizing a seminar to explore practical approaches and solutions to nutrition and sustainability in Rome, Italy, together with the UN Standing Committee on Nutrition, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), and the Governments of Malawi and Flanders. The seminar, 'Nutrition and Sustainability: A practical approach to integrating climate change, biodiversity and ecosystems, nutrition and health agendas,' will be held at FAO headquarters. The seminar will bring together some 300 scientists, policymakers, experts, students and practitioners to develop responses to countries' requests about "why?" and "how?" to link nutrition and sustainability, and to discuss the tradeoffs. Virtual participation is also welcome by contacting the UN Standing Committee on Nutrition Secretariat.

Event: UN-REDD Programme Fifth Anniversary Celebration [viewed]

The UN Collaborative Programme on Reducing Emissions from Deforestation (UN-REDD) event, to be held on the margins of the nineteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), will highlight lessons learned from five years of REDD+ readiness, research and policy development. The High-Level event will place REDD+ within the framework of sustainable development through examples of implementation at the national and global level.
