24 June 2010: The Adaptation Fund Board approved the first four proposals of concrete adaptation projects at its tenth meeting held in Bonn, Germany, from 14-16 June 2010.
Agriculture and Rural Development Day (ARDD) will convene in conjunction with the Cancun Climate Change Conference. The day will be hosted by the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), the Global Donor Platform for Rural Development, the CGIAR Challenge Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS), and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food of Mexico.

14 April 2010: The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) has released a story in their Rural Poverty Portal titled "Rising waters are threatening to destroy the homes and culture of Pacific islanders." The article outlines the impacts of sea level rise on Kiribati.
The fifth World Urban Forum (WUF-5), which took place from 22-26 March 2010, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, under the theme “The Right to the City: Bridging the Urban Divide,” was hosted by the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) and the Government of Brazil.
31 March 2010: At the first Global Conference on Agriculture Research for Development (GCARD) held in Montpelier, France, from 29-31 March 2010, the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) introduced its proposed large-scale collective-action programmes through eight thematic areas, including one on climate change and agriculture.
