IPCC WGI to Finalize its Contribution to AR5 [viewed]

Event: 12th Session of IPCC WG III and 39th Session of IPCC [viewed]

The 12th session of Working Group III (WG III) and the 39th session of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC 39) will convene in April 2014 to approve and accept the contribution of WG III to the Fifth Assessment Report (AR5). WG III focuses on mitigation of climate change. WG III will meet from 7-11 April, and IPCC 39 will meet on 13 April to discuss programme and budget, with a day off on 12 April.

OWG 8 is expected to discuss: Oceans and seas, forests, biodiversity (2 days); Promoting equality, including social equity, gender equality and women's empowerment (1.5 days); and Conflict prevention, post-conflict peacebuilding and the promotion of durable peace, rule of law and governance (1.5 days).

UN Consultative Process on Oceans Focuses on Ocean Acidification [viewed]
