21 November 2012: The UNFCCC Secretariat's 32nd Newsletter focuses on the Doha Climate Change Conference, which is being held from 26 November - 7 December in Doha, Qatar. The newsletter features section on adaptation, mitigation, finance, technology and updates on the Ad Hoc Working Groups (AWGs).
20 November 2012: The UNFCCC has published a report evaluating achievements under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). The report, titled "Benefits of the Clean Development Mechanism 2012," expands on a previous study, released in 2011, with an analysis of roughly 4,000 CDM projects in four areas: sustainable development, technology transfer, finance and regional distribution.
5 November 2012: The Group of 20 (G20) Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors discussed progress on green growth, phaseout of fossil fuel subsidies, climate finance and disaster risk financing during a meeting from 4-5 November 2012, in Mexico City, Mexico. The Ministers and Governors assessed progress on a G20 mandate to promote growth and job creation and to address ongoing economic and financial challenges.
21 November 2012: The UNFCCC has released a synthesis report on the progress made in the implementation of the least developed countries (LDC) work programme, including the updating and implementation of national adaptation programmes of action (FCCC/SBI/2012/INF.13).
21 November 2012: The UNFCCC released an information document on financial support provided by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) for the preparation of national communications by non-Annex I Parties. The report includes an addendum to the GEF report to the Conference of the Parties (COP), which contains a table on the status of national communications from such Parties (FCCC/SBI/2012/INF.13 and FCCC/CP/2012/6/Add.1, respectively).
19 November 2012: The UNFCCC has released a report on the regional expert meetings on a range of approaches to address loss and damage associated with the adverse effects of climate change, including impacts related to extreme weather events and slow onset events (FCCC/SBI/2012/29). The report summarizes regional level meetings in Ethiopia, Mexico and Thailand and one meeting on small island developing States (SIDS) in Barbados.
20 November 2012: The UNFCCC has released the Green Climate Fund (GCF) report. The report describes the GCF's activities between December 2011 and November 2012. An annex outlines the decisions taken by the Board.
19 November 2012: The UNFCCC published a workshop report on a common tabular format (CTF) for the UNFCCC biennial reporting guidelines for developed country Parties (FCCC/SBSTA/2012/INF.13), which was developed during a workshop organized by the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA).
16 November 2012: The Chair of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action (AWG-LCA), under the UNFCCC, released a scenario note for the second part of the 15th session to be held in Doha, Qatar, from 27 November-7 December 2012 (FCCC/AWGLCA/2012/4).
16 November 2012: The UNFCCC Secretariat has announced the winners of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) African Radio Contest 2012. The Secretariat launched the contest under the theme “Changing Lives,” with the aim of raising awareness on the CDM's benefits in Africa.
