COP 20 President Hosts Second Twitter Dialogue [viewed]

The conversation, which took place in Spanish under the hashtag #HablaCOP20, was organized on 3 October, two months ahead of the Lima Climate Conference.

Indonesia Accepts Doha Amendment [viewed]

Indonesia Flag1 October 2014: The UNFCCC Secretariat has informed that Indonesia has accepted the Doha Amendment, which formalizes commitments for the second commitment period of the Kyoto Protocol (2013-2020). This announcement brings the total number of parties that have deposited their instruments of acceptance to 18.

UNFCCC30 September 2014: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published the report of the fifth part of the second session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on the Durban Platform for Enhanced Action on (ADP 2-5), which was held from 4-14 June 2014, in Bonn, Germany. The document (FCCC/ADP/2014/2) contains summaries of proceedings and discussions under the five agenda items of the ADP, as well as two annexes containing documents and informal notes prepared for considered by ADP 2-5.

Event: 2nd Technical Workshop on the Draft Revised Guidelines for the Technical Review of Annex I GHG Inventories [viewed]

The second technical workshop on the draft revised guidelines for the technical review of greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories from Annex I Parties will take place in Bonn, Germany. The workshop is part of the work programme on the revision of the guidelines for the review of biennial reports (BRs) and national communications (NCs) for developed country parties. It will allow for further discussion on outstanding issues to advance the text of the revised UNFCCC Annex I inventory review guidelines. The workshop, open to all parties, will be organized by the UNFCCC Secretariat under the guidance of the Chair of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA). A draft of the revised UNFCCC Annex I inventory review guidelines prepared by the UNFCCC Secretariat, as per the request of the 40th session of the SBSTA, will serve as input to the discussions.
