22 April 2013: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released an information note on the recommendations of the Executive Board (EB) of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) on possible changes to the modalities and procedures of the CDM (FCCC/SBI/2013/INF.1).
23 April 2013: The Multilateral Fund for the Implementation of the Montreal Protocol (MLF) has committed up to US$385 million to China for the elimination of all industrial production of hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) by 2030. China is the largest producer of HCFCs, and eliminating the country's HCFC production will prevent emissions equivalent to 8 billion tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2).
19 April 2013: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released a note on arrangements for intergovernmental meetings (FCCC/SBI/2013/4), which addresses, among other issues: the 19th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 19) and the 9th session of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (COP/MOP 9); future sessional periods, including for the sessional periods in 2018; and organization of the intergovernmental process, including the engagement of observer organizations.

16 April 2013: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released a miscellaneous document containing submissions by five parties on implications of the implementation of decisions 2/CMP.7 to 4/CMP.7 and 1/CMP.8 (amendment to the Kyoto Protocol) on the relevant decisions adopted for the Kyoto Protocol first commitment period and for the reporting of land use, land-use change and forestry (LULUCF) activities for the Protocol's second commitment period.
At the opening of the eleventh meeting of the Committee for the Review of the Implementation of the Convention (CRIC 11), Deputy Minister for Environment and Tourism of Namibia, Pohamba Shifeta, announced that the Republic of Namibia has offered to host the eleventh session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 11) to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD). The meeting is expected to take place from 16-27 September 2013.
