ADB E-Trike Project to Reduce Carbon Dioxide Emissions in the Philippines [viewed]

ADB11 December 2012: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is providing a US$300 million loan for a project to replace 100,000 gasoline-burning tricycles with clean, energy efficient electric tricycles, or E-Trikes, in the Philippines. The E-Trike project will reduce carbon dioxide emissions and air pollution, avoid fuel costs and reduce oil dependency, and increase jobs and driver income.

5 December 2012: A new partnership aiming to share knowledge and successful ideas for developing Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) was launched on the sidelines of the 18th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 18) to the UNFCCC in Doha, Qatar. EIB Supports Water Sector Investments in Cantabria, Spain [viewed]

28 November 2012: The European Investment Bank (EIB) has approved a €50 million loan to support investments in water and sanitation facilities in the Spanish region of Cantabria. The loan will help finance a project aimed at increasing water supply and wastewater management in coastal areas through the construction of new treatment plants and other sewage infrastructure.
