Agriculture, Landscapes and Livelihoods Day 5: Solutions for People in Drylands and Beyond provides an opportunity for the natural resource and agriculture community to share solutions for climate change adaptation and mitigation in agricultural landscapes. The event will provide a venue to engage with key stakeholders and decision makers, and develop solutions that can feed into 2013 UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) discussions. The event will take place alongside the 18th session of the Conference of Parties (COP 18) to the UNFCCC, in Doha, Qatar, on 3 December 2012. This year's event aims to identify: existing, large scale solutions to specific mitigation and adaptation challenges that can benefit farmers, in particular small scale farmers; gaps where there are limited existing solutions or limited available knowledge; and potential trade-offs in implementing existing, known solutions. The Day is co-hosted by, inter alia, CGIAR and the World Bank, and co-organized by, inter alia, IFAD, FAO and WFP.
