Event: First Workshop on Climate Induced Migration in the Middle East and North Africa [viewed]
This workshop is organized by the World Bank and the Agence Française de Développement, in partnership with the UN University-Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The workshop will provide a forum for knowledge sharing of current research on climate induced migration and displacement carried out in the Middle East and North Africa region. 9 April 2010: To celebrate the International Year of Biodiversity, the European Environment Agency (EEA) has released the fifth of its 10 messages for 2010, which focuses on forest ecosystems.
March 2010: The International Energy Agency's (IEA) Greenhouse Gas Research and Development Program (IEAGHG) has released the 97th issue of its Greenhouse Issues newsletter, which announces a new IEAGHG website and contains a number of articles relating to carbon dioxide capture and storage (CCS). 
March 2010: The Energy Technology Systems Analysis Programme (ETSAP), an implementing agreement of the International Energy Agency (IEA), and in cooperation with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), has posted presentations and other resources from its 18-23 January 2010 workshop, which took place in New Delhi, India.
7 April 2010: The Spanish presidency of the EU hosted a Conference on the Protection of Forests in Europe from 6-7 April 2010, in Valsaín (Segovia), Spain, to discuss the European Commission's “Green Paper on Forest Protection and Information” released in March 2010.
17 March 2010: The International Energy Agency (IEA) has published the 66th issue of the OPEN Energy Technology Bulletin, which focuses on industry motivation for low carbon technology, financing sustainable energy, second generation biofuels, and various renewables technologies.
31 March 2010: The UNFCCC has published submissions (FCCC/SBI/2010/MISC.4) from Croatia, Japan, Spain on behalf of the EU, and Sri Lanka regarding their views on the approach to be taken by the Executive Secretary with regard to the collection of international transaction log fees. 
Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly took place from 27 March-1 April 2010, in Bangkok, Thailand, focusing on the theme of political reconciliation and governance. 
31 March 2010: Connie Hedegaard, European Commissioner for Climate Action, is holding bilateral talks on climate change with developed and developing countries, to follow up on the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference. Hedegaard visited the US and Mexico in early March 2010, met with the Chinese delegation in late March in Brussels, Belgium, and will visit Maldives and India in early April.
