4 July 2011: The Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre (CCCCC) and the EU have entered into an agreement to, among other things, support Caribbean Forum (CARIFORUM) countries in meeting the challenges of climate change.
4 July 2011: The 11th issue of the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre's (CCCCC) Climate Change News Update, which compiles international and regional climate change-related news, highlights the World Bank's US$47.12 million Regional Disaster Vulnerability Reduction Projects, which aims to help Grenada and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to climate-proof their buildings and increase their public institutions' capacity to assess natural risks.
4 July 2011: The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) has released a paper titled "Improved methods for carbon accounting for bioenergy: Descriptions and evaluations." The paper explains that because bioenergy is counted under the UNFCCC as originating from the land-use sector rather than the energy sector, bioenergy emissions are often not fully accounted for in countries with greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions obligations.

29 June 2011: The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the EU have released the June issue of their newsletter on the African, Caribbean and Pacific Multilateral Environment Agreements (ACP MEAs) project. The newest newsletter is sub-titled "The Future of the Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction in Small Island Developing States."
21 June 2011: The Environment Council of the EU met on 21 June 2011, in Luxembourg, to discuss the protection of water resources and integrated sustainable water management in the EU and beyond. The Council adopted conclusions including a section on climate change and water policy, and another on ecosystems and ecosystem services.
16 June 2011: During the FOREST EUROPE Ministerial Conference, held in Oslo, Norway from 14-16 June 2011, ministers adopted a Mandate for Negotiating a Legally Binding Agreement (LBA) on Forests in Europe. Ministers also adopted a decision outlining a shared vision, goals and targets for 2020 for European forests.

7 June 2011: The tenth Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Foreign Ministers' Meeting held in Gödöllő, Hungary, from 6-7 June 2011, under the theme
"Working together on non-traditional security challenges," addressed climate change, energy and Rio+20, among other agenda items.
