UNFCCC10 June 2014: The UNFCCC Secretariat has launched a Capacity-building Portal, a tool developed to help monitor and review capacity built to better mitigate and adapt to climate change. Users are able to customize search criteria, visualize data through interactive maps, bubbles and multicolored pie charts, line up results in tables and print them.

Coral Triangle Initiative9 June 2014: Coral Triangle Day, which took place under the theme ‘Shared waters, Shared solutions,' celebrated the marine biodiversity of the Coral Triangle region, which includes Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Solomon Islands and Timor-Leste. International Partnership Releases Global Good Practice Analysis on LEDS, NAMAs, MRV [viewed]

Montreal Protocol Multilateral Fund Approves over US$2.7 Million for National Projects [viewed]

It also approved hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC) Phase out Management Plan (HPMP) projects in 11 countries. EC-UNEP Agreement Aims to Strengthen Regional Cooperation in Latin America and Caribbean [viewed]

unep-ec3 June 2014: The European Commission (EC) and UN Environment Programme (UNEP) signed a regional cooperation agreement to increase policy dialogue on climate change mitigation and adaptation in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). The agreement provides for the convening of a Forum of Ministers of Environment of Latin America and the Caribbean, a high-level policy dialogue on climate change that will be facilitated by UNEP.
