June 2009: The World Bank has published a booklet titled “Development and Climate Change: The World Bank Group at Work,” which provides an overview of its activities related to climate change, including sections on partnerships, strategy, finance, knowledge and capacity.
9 June 2009: The UN Development Programme (UNDP) held a two-day consultation with 25 representatives of civil society organizations and foundations in New York, US. UNDP is preparing a 20-year review of the impact of its flagship publication, the Human Development Report, which advocates for a healthy environment where people can lead productive and creative lives.
9 June 2009: In an effort to green the 2014 Sochi Olympics, the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Russian Olympic organizers to help and advise them on making the games environmentally friendly.

9 June 2009: The UN Chief Executives Board (CEB) organized a panel, on the sidelines of the climate change talks being held in Bonn, Germany, to present UN-REDD, a collaborative initiative of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and the UN Development Programme (UNDP) that assists forested developing countries and the international community gain experience with REDD.
5 June 2009: The World Bank has signed carbon finance agreements with two Thai companies that will lead to reductions in greenhouse gas emissions through the improvement of an ethanol refinery and wastewater treatment at an ethanol production plant.

6 June 2009: The UN Development Programme (UNDP) and the UNFCCC Secretariat, in collaboration with the Expert Group on Technology Transfer (EGTT) and the Climate Technology Initiative (CTI), launched the advance document of the Handbook for Conducting Technology Needs Assessment (TNA) for Climate Change during a side event held on 6 June 2009, at the Bonn Climate Change Talks.
