25 October 2012: The 5th Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), which was attended by 25 ministers and delegates from 72 countries, concluded with the adoption of the Yogyakarta Declaration on DRR in Asia and the Pacific 2012, which calls for integrating DRR and climate change adaptation (CCA) into local level development planning.

CBD COP 11 Adopts Decisions on REDD+, Geo-engineering [viewed]

Braulio Ferreira De Souza Dias, CBD Executive Secretary22 October 2012: The eleventh meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP 11) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) adopted 33 decisions on a range of strategic, substantive, administrative, financial and budgetary issues. On climate change-related issues, the meeting adopted decisions on REDD+ and geo-engineering, and addressed strengthening knowledge on linkages between biodiversity and climate change.

IMO's Environment Committee Considers Energy Efficiency, Ballast Water Management and Ship Recycling [viewed]
