7 May 2010: The Fifth Global Conference on Oceans, Coasts and Islands, which took place in Paris, France, from 3-7 May 2010, was organized around three thematic sessions: ensuring survival; preserving life; and improving governance. The theme ensuring survival was sub-titled "Oceans, Climate and Security - Major Issues in Mitigation, Adaptation, and Financing in the Post-Copenhagen Climate Regime."
7 May 2010: The European Investment Bank (EIB), the French Development Agency (AFD) and the European Development Finance Institutions (EDFI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish the Interact Climate Change Fund.
6 May 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published the provisional agenda (FCCC/AWGLCA/2010/4) for the tenth session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA 10), which will take place in Bonn, Germany, from 1-11 June 2010.
6 May 2010: The Third Conference on International Air Transport Cooperation took place in Seoul, Republic of Korea, from 6-7 May 2010. In an opening address, Raymond Benjamin, Secretary General of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), spoke about the three components of an efficient global air transport sector: safety, security and sustainability.
8 April 2010: The UN Global Compact's "Caring for Climate" initiative convened its second conference of signatories and stakeholders from 7-8 April 2010, in Geneva, Switzerland.
The 9th Designated National Authorities (DNA) Forum will take place in Bonn, Germany.
