February 2010: The Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), Alternatives to Slash and Burn and the World Agroforestry Centre, members of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), have released a forest and climate change toolbox to build understanding and technical proficiency on issues of climate change and forests.
This year’s Dialogue will focus on the overall theme “The Monterrey Consensus and Doha Declaration on Financing for Development: status of implementation and tasks ahead.” The first day of the Dialogue will consist of plenary meetings chaired by the President of the UN General Assembly, and the second day will be devoted to three interactive multi-stakeholder round tables followed by an informal interactive dialogue with the participation of all relevant stakeholders. The Dialogue will result in a summary by the President of the General Assembly.
23 February 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has announced that the Bureau of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the UNFCCC has decided that the next round of formal UN climate change negotiations under the Convention will take place from 9-11 April 2010, in Bonn, Germany.

22 February 2010: The Heads of State and Government of Mexico and the Member States of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) gathered for their first Summit in the Mexican Riviera Maya on 21 February 2010, to discuss tackling joint challenges, including climate change.
18 February 2010: The Regional Coordination Mechanism for Latin America and the Caribbean of the UN system met in Mexico City, Mexico, to discuss the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), climate change, the political situation in the region, and the UN's contribution to regional cooperation.
17 February 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released the report of the individual review of the annual submission of Luxembourg submitted in 2009 (FCCC/ARR/2009/LUX).
16 February 2010: The International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD) has signed an agreement with the Egyptian Government that will focus on maximizing the efficiency of water use by Egyptian farmers to adapt to the challenges of climate change.
16 February 2010: The UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), Division for Sustainable Development (DSD), in collaboration with the UN Department of Public Information (DPI) and UN-TV, are producing a series of short films to highlight the challenges faced by small island developing States (SIDS).
February 2010: The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has released "The State of Food and Agriculture 2009: Livestock in the balance," which examines the role of livestock in: food security and poverty reduction; the environment and climate change; and human and animal health.
