December 2010: The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) has released its strategic plan to 2020, titled "ICRISAT Strategic Plan to 2020: Inclusive Market-Oriented Development for Smallholder Farmers in the Tropical Drylands."
23 December 2010: The 62nd meeting of the Executive Committee (ExCom) of the Multilateral Fund for the Implementation of the Montreal Protocol convened in Montreal, Canada, from 29 November-3 December 2010. For the first time, the ExCom considered and approved a large number of HCFC phase-out management plans (HPMPs), in line with the HCFC guidelines adopted at its 60th meeting.
December 2010: The Center For International Forestry Research (CIFOR) has released a paper titled "Potential land use competition from first-generation biofuel expansion in developing countries."
December 2010: The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) Climate Change Working Group for Bilateral Finance Institutions has released its annual report on climate change financial flows to developing countries titled: “Bilateral Finance Institutions and Climate Change: A Mapping of 2009 Climate Financial Flows to Developing Countries.”
December 2010: The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) has released a Green Economy publication titled “Driving a Green Economy Through Public Finance and Fiscal Policy Reform,” which prioritizes the need to reform environmentally harmful subsidies in the agriculture, energy, fisheries, forest and water sectors.

15 December 2010: The Adaptation Fund Board concluded its 12th session in Cancun, Mexico, back-to-back with the Cancun Climate Change Conference. Board members approved funding for projects in Nicaragua and Pakistan, and for five concepts, from the Cook Islands, Ecuador, El Salvador, Georgia and the Maldives, for financing at its next session.
15 December 2010: The UN Environment Programme has released the second issue of its Policy Series on Ecosystem Management. The newest issue, titled "The role of ecosystems in developing a sustainable ‘Green Economy,'" discusses how investments in ecosystems can result in benefits at the local and global levels, while at the same time enhancing people's livelihoods.
15 December 2010: The UN General Assembly (UNGA) held a debate, on 15 December 2010, in New York, US, on strengthening UN coordination of humanitarian and disaster relief assistance.
15 December 2010: The US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the US Department of Energy are supporting energy regulators in the Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries to establish energy efficiency standards and labeling programmes.
